Description
Originally established in 2002, Always was rebuilt in the fall of 2017 after the 2016 Gatlinburg Fire.
At 624 sq. ft., this one-bedroom log cabin has a beamed ceiling, natural pine tongue-and-groove wood, and a metal roof. It is designed for comfort and coziness. Snuggle up inside or on the cabin-wide porch, focusing on either the warm glow from the gas stone fireplace or the unforgettable views of the Smoky Mountains which offer morning and evening scenes of light and space. A treat is watching that famous smoky mist rise.
Upon entering the cabin, and for your comfort and ease, a coat rack with a bench is available for hanging items and removing boots. The open living has a fireplace, a fully furnished kitchen, and dining for two. Glass panels and windows and a glass door give natural light and allow for outdoor views. Relax, while watching the TCL 50 in smart TV. The king bedroom suite has a jetted tub, a private toilet and shower area, a clothes closet, a ceiling fan, and a laundry closet complete with a stacked washer and dryer.
Relax and refresh with privacy on the full-length porch, which is accessible from both the living area and the bedroom. Porch life is peaceful… rocking and talking, sharing a snack at the bistro table, or soaking in the hot tub. For outdoor cooking, the grill is conveniently located next to the flat, paved parking area. Unpacking and loading the cars is made easier by only 4 steps. And with a location just off The Spur — set between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge — this semi-private cabin offers a convenient location near it all.

View was great. Perfect cabin for relaxing getaway.

The cabin was a bit tricky to find but when following helpful tricks provided by the host we were able to find it. Best not to trust google maps fully for this location. The jets in the hot tub were a bit weak and the amenities were of a bit shorter supply than other cabins. The bedroom door also doesn't stay shut which was a bit unfortunate at night time. Aside from that the cabin was great! It provided much needed peace, quiet and privacy. The whirlpool tub in the bathroom made up for the hot tub jets and the bed was very comfortable at a medium firm feel. We werent far from both awesome parts of society whether going left to downtown gatlinburg and smokey mountain national park 15-20 mins away or to the right on the pigeon forge strip also about 15 mins away. And the best part? THE VIEWS. I cannot stress how wonderful it is to lounge in a hot tub or relax in a chair and stare out at the vast mountains or gaze at all the city lights grazing the vast mountainsides at night.

Had a great time. Very nice clean cozy cabin for my girlfriend and I. Had no issues with the cabin at all. The view of the mountains was very nice. The only issue was getting to the cabin. Very steep mountain roads. I recommend a 4WD vehicle to get there and I will mention I drove a 2500 pickup truck that was a bit big and difficult to maneuver around the neighborhood where the cabin is but it was well worth it. The bed was super comfortable and the cabin was very clean and cozy. I have 0 complaints of this stay!

The location was remote and peaceful, just what we needed.The decor of the house was lovely and in line with a couple retreat.We saw many animals, including a bear but we felt safe from far away.It was hard to leave.

Cabin was very nice and clean. Perfect for a couples get away. I will recommend to drive a vehicle with AWD or 4WD especially during the winter because of the steep windy roads going up to the house. Other than that we had a very good stay!

Stayed here for my wife's birthday. View from the porch was beautiful and the hot tub was a perfect way to relax after a few days of hiking the national park. It's only about 10 minutes from downtown, but do prepare for typical Tennessee mountain roads. All are well maintained, but curvy, narrow, and steep. We had no problems in our RWD SUV, but with rain or snow, highly recommend 4WD or AWD. We had an excellent time, and would love to book this location again!

A wonderful and beautiful place to stay! The hot tub with the expanse outlook and view was the best part. Getting to the cabin was a bit tricky for us as the road sign shows another name, but we were able to get assistance within seconds of calling and found it after that.

This may be the coolest place I’ve stayed so far on a vacation. Make sure you have an SUV to get to the location but it’s a fantastic view. Literally overlooking the mountain. You can see Gatlinburg in the distance and the Ferris wheel in Pigeon Forge. The drive to both cities is within ten minutes. Super cool weekend trip!

Awesome cabin with an amazing view. Close enough to downtown gatlinburg but far enough to have a peaceful quiet night. Very clean inside and out. We decided to leave early due to serve weather coming in and was able to be refunded through air bnb. We will be back again!

An absolutely perfect get away, my only advice is make sure you have a car that can take steep hills and drive safely at night! We were stunned how clean it smelled like the whole place was scrubbed top to bottom, very cozy and felt very safe.

So cozy! We liked the location of the cabin. It was close enough to everything you wanted to be close to but still having the private mountain feel. One thing I will say, the GPS does not bring you directly to the cabin. The host did give really good directions on how to get there so we found the place okay! We would definitely come back to this cabin!

This one really DOES have mountain views!!
A beautiful place!! So many others boast of mountain views, then to find out it's only a small sliver or glimpse, or other cabins are stacked on top of each other with no privacy. The ALWAYS cabin stands on it's own and has a panoramic view of the Smoky Mountains 180 degrees from the deck. Coffee on the deck in the morning = beautiful mountain view. Relaxing in the wonderful warm, clean hot tub = beautiful mountain view. Sitting at the dinner table w/chairs on the other end of the deck = beautiful mountain view. We did a lot of research, this one is the BEST! The privacy for us was as equally inportant. We were treated like royalty. Thank you ALWAYS cabin!

This cabin was something out of a movie! We had planned a busy vacation schedule but we ended up coming home early every night just to eat dinner on the balcony to watch the sunset. It was absolutely amazing! The location is super convenient to both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, we usually drove (at most) 10 min to any given activity. The drive to the cabin was a little scary the first time because of the inclines but you get used to it immediately, and it’s totally worth it! We’d love to book this gorgeous place again!

This cabin is absolutely gorgeous. I am a picky person when it comes to hygiene, but his place is clean, warm, and private. Too bad that I only spent three nights there. Seriously, you don’t have to go anywhere else. The sunset view is stunning and romantic. I wanted to say thank you again to Smoky Vistas Team, their service is fantastic, and they responded to me in a timely manner and even in midnight. Everything is perfect. I enjoyed every min there.

We had the BEST time! The place was perfect! We had a large truck, though, and the windy, narrow road to get TO the cabin was nerving at times! The “Away” cabin is in a great location, only about 15 minutes from Gatlinburg. The cabin was very clean upon arrival. The views were better than expected. Part of the reason we chose this cabin is because of the hot tub, and it did not disappoint! We would recommend this cabin for anyone visiting the Gatlinburg area.

It was very quaint and the views were amazing and so was the hot tub. The only thing I would say is that the couch wasn’t to comfortable and the place was slightly bare. Most airbnbs I stay at have at least salt and pepper, coffee filters, leftover beer, etc. we left some beer and salt and pepper for the next guest though.

The place was beautiful! Great scenery, squeaky clean, and just like the pictures. It was a little hard to find at night since we were up on top of the hill with the windy roads, but in the daytime, it is fairly easy to find out where to go to. The only problem that I had was the bed. It was not very comfortable TO ME. I couldn't really sleep because of it. On the other hand, my boyfriend slept extremely well. So it's all about what you think is comfortable. Overall, I would stay here again because of the view. You are mostly paying for the breathtaking scenery and the hot tub. the inside is very nice as well, just like the pictures.

Loved this place so much!! If you plan on staying in December like we did bring lots of food and drinks because if it decides to snow randomly you won't be making it out!! But the hottub and fireplace was so cozy while we were snowed in. ❤️

This was our 4th stay at one of Smokey’s cabins and like “Always” it was a great visit. The cabin was exceptionally clean and has a beautiful view of the mountains. It is equipped with everything you will need in the kitchen and bathroom . We have seen bears in the past, but not this visit. It is convenient to all of the Pigeon Forge attractions and shows, and is a short drive to Gatlinburg.

On our Honeymoon, The place was wonderful , fantastic views. It was exciting to see some Bears come up near the cabin. King bed was comfortable. Hot tub was Great. Everything was well maintained . 2 things that could be addressed. We're not big TV watchers on Vaca. but for some the TV channel line-up is Absolute GARBAGE with NO Guide List to see what's even available. #2 the Outside AC plug did not work But we allways carry extra extension cords so had power Outside.

This cabin is perfect for a couples getaway! We chose this cabin for our honeymoon and it exceeded our expectations! The location and views were amazing! We spent most of our exploring time in Pigeon Forge as it was easier to navigate and less crowded. We went into Gatlinburg a few times to eat, and play a round at Hillbilly Golf. The hot tub was a perfect way to relax after our adventures. I would recommend this cabin to any couple looking to relax and enjoy a Mountain View in a cozy cabin! We will definitely consider “Always” when planning future trips!

We had such an incredible stay here. Communication was great and it was the cleanest air bnb that I’ve ever stayed at. The drive is definitely steep, but once you’re there, you won’t want to leave. We enjoyed a few rainy days in the covered porch and in the hot tub.

The "Always" cabin is so perfect for anyone looking for a getaway with the partner or spouse. My husband and I were visiting for our 11th wedding anniversary. The view from our balcony was spectacular and we loved that we had the choice of enjoying the views from the hot tub or the cute rocking chairs. Everything was awesome. We had no issues with having WIFI or the A/C. The cabin was so cozy and clean. Our stay was amazing. We highly recommend and hope to visit again in the future!

Despite showing up a day late due to the weather (snow) it was a wonderful time! The fireplace and tv didn’t work the first night but it was fixed the next day. (They did offer to come out that night but we didn’t care much so we opted for them to come the next afternoon while we were in town) The drive up to the cabin was a little hectic the first time but we found an alternate way out that was better for us. It was recommended that you have a 4x4 vehicle but we did not and made it up fine in my SUV. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to make basic meals pot, pans, etc. The hot tub was amazing! The deck gave great views you could even see the Pigeon Forge ferris wheel from the deck! Would love to go back again!

Hot tub. And the cozy little cabin! Bedroom needs a tv in it. Also the front door has a window that’s not covered and if anyone was to walk up, they would be able to see right in through the door.

This is a great little cabin with great views of the mountains and mostly secluded, but still private. The only problem I had, was there was some restriction on the faucet in the shower, so you couldn't turn it more than half way on resulting in a lukewarm to cold shower. Would have loved to have a hot shower during my week stay! Also, would have liked to have a toaster in the kitchen.

View is a 5, otherwise a 4 stay
The view at this property is the best point of the stay. You wake up to a mountain view that is absolutely gorgeous. The property is clean and cozy. Our stay was a 4 rating though because of the skimping on the little touches that could really have enhanced our stay. Only provided three towels (come on--there was a hot tub), no hair dryer, no coffee filters for the coffee maker, no laundry detergent, no info about the area or recommendations--these small touches could have really made the stay a 5 rating. Great proximity to the park. NOTE: Do not rely on your GPS to find this place, carefully follow the instructions or you will not find it. Also, you really need 4 wheel drive to get this high up on the mountain--thank goodness for our Jeep. We enjoyed the place but probably would try somewhere else next time.
