Description
Located at the top of a private drive, Journey’s End is a 672 sq. ft. one-bedroom log cabin with natural pine tongue-and-groove walls, exposed beams, and a metal roof. Its charm extends throughout the entire cabin with simple touches, decorative accents, and modern comforts. As you unwind, enjoy unparalleled 180-degree mountain views from the deck! Look out across Mt. LeConte, Cove Mountain, and Bluff Mountain for stunning sunsets and beautiful days.
Journey’s End has a living area with a gas stone fireplace, TCL 43 in Smart TV and large viewing windows as well as a fully equipped kitchen with dining for two. The king bedroom has a clothes closet, a ceiling fan, and a jetted tub. The full bathroom – accessible from both the bedroom and living area – has a large vanity and a closet with a stacked washer/dryer. The design allows for quiet relaxation, inside and out.
On the front porch (only 4 steps up from the paved parking area), you’ll find rockers, a small bistro table, and a hot tub – as well as that panoramic mountain view at any time of day or night. In the early morn or at twilight, you may be blessed to see the smoky mist rise. During the day, as the sun shines and clouds float overhead, it is so quiet that the only sounds heard are those of wind and birds as you relax and reflect. Hawks and eagles fly by frequently, and – based upon the season – bears wander nearby. At night, admire the city lights of nearby Pigeon Forge or the glow from Gatlinburg down in the valley. Being with a special someone, alone in nature, is the benefit of cabin life.
Originally established in 2002, Journey’s End was rebuilt in the fall of 2017 after the 2016 Gatlinburg Fire. This cabin is a semi-private, picture-perfect mountain retreat offering solitude and beauty for those who stay here. Smoky Mountain adventures are everywhere, and Journey’s End is close to it all. It is conveniently located off The Spur between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The Smoky Mountain National Park, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg are only a few miles away. If wishing to vacation with others, nearby cabins by the same owner are Always, Ever After Gatlinburg, Life’s a Bear, Sheriff’s Cabin, and The Homestead and The Shed.

This cabin exceeded expectations. The pictures don’t do the breath taking views justice. Very private, clean, cozy and quiet. No blow dryer but there was a drip coffee maker (but you need to bring your own filters and ground coffee). Plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, and dish soap but didn’t have any salt and pepper. Kitchen was fully stocked with all the dishes, pans, silverware, toaster, etc that you would ever need. Definitely recommend a vehicle that has AWD, very steep roads. We will be back 1000%. Perfect couples getaway. Let us know if you ever want to sell it! 🙂

A truly beautiful, secluded, yet close to everything cabin with stunning views. We absolutely enjoyed our stay there. It was one of our favorite Airbnbs that we've ever stayed at. The drive up to it was really neat with some steep, twisty roads. We even saw a bear on the road one night coming back to the cabin. The front porch is amazing. You can even stand on it and watch the rain fall if it happens to be rainy, without getting wet. And the views are just absolutely stunning. We loved that it faces west so you can watch the sunset. The cabin is not large, but is perfect for two people. It has basically everything you need, and things just worked, and were clean. Everything looked just as it did in the photographs. We had a front-wheel drive SUV and navigated the steep roads just fine in the summer month we went. We already want to go back.

The view from the front door/porch, and just minutes from downtown Gatlinburg. Th road is very narrow, if you meet another vehicle going to/from the cabin you don’t have room to get over!

This cabin was perfect for a quick mountain get away! The view was amazing along with the weather. Clean and perfect size for a couple needing somewhere to pop in and out of for the day or stay and look at the mountain views. The driveway is pretty steep so definitely need a 4WD or AWD. We would stay again!

We loved the hot tub, the jacuzzi tub was very nice and the bed was very comfortable. We would have liked a little more supplies. We stayed 4 nights and only had a sample size of dish liquid to wash dishes, one extra trash bag, one roll of paper towels and only one dishwasher pod. Also, I washed all the dishes by hand because the dishwasher was absolutely disgusting. There was still food left over in it. There was no way that it has been cleaned in the past at all.

They were not kidding when they said 4wheel or all wheel drive! Honestly, the pictures don’t do it justice. It’s a beautiful spot on the highest peak of that little ridge. You could see for miles and it felt so secluded (in a good way). The last bit of the drive going up the driveway is an experience!! Very steep incline but what an amazing view at the end. Couldn’t recommend this place more. The fireplace works wonders in case you’re worried about the cold and the hot tub is even better!

The fire alarm batteries got low and they had it fixed in a matter of hours! My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon and it was absolutely amazing. Every aspect of our stay was unforgettable. The only remotely negative thing I could say is to be prepared for some pretty intense mountain driving on your way up/down if you’re not used to it (I live in the swamp and it’s very flat) But this is no fault of the owners obviously! If you want a beautiful Mountain View, then you have to drive up the mountain 🙂 just be careful. Long story short, if you’re thinking about booking it, do it. I had the best week of my life in this beautiful cabin.

We had a wonderful trip at this cabin! We loved drinking coffee in the hot tub in the morning and enjoying the amazing views from the porch. The cabin itself is relatively easy to find but the mountain roads are definitely steep and can be tricky to navigate. The inside is very clean well maintained. I recommend bringing extra TP, paper towels, and tissues, along with any cooking seasonings/oil, and coffee. They do provide all cookware and linen. The location is very close to town and a short drive to the park entrance. We would love to come back!

This place was amazing you cannot get a better view of the mountains. And it’s 10 mins from Gatlinburg and pigeon Forge. Only thing I can recommend is a tv in the bedroom this is 2025 most bedrooms have a tv In them.

What a great cabin stay. Literally minutes from GSMNP, providing easy access and short commutes. The view that the cabin offers is absolutely amazing and can be perfectly enjoyed from the hot tub. This cabin is at the top of the mountain, offering great privacy and a wonderful cross breeze. When we return to GSMNP, we will be booking again!

My husband and I had the best stay in our cabin up in the mountains. The location was perfect for going into town for dinner and attractions. The view was phenomenal. Being from Michigan, the drive to the cabin was very exciting. I would recommend a 4WD/AWD vehicle as the roads get steep. We can’t wait to come back again!

Nice cabin for two. I wish the roads surrounding the cabin would have been labeled better or at least described in the listing. Many roads were basically vertical. We enjoyed the view immensely.

This was the easiest trip I have planned everything went so smoothly .. we came here for our 30 wedding anniversary and it was the best trip we have ever taken .. this was our first time to Gatlinburg and it didn’t disappoint at all.. the cabin was everything and more from the hot tub ,drinking coffee by the fireplace ,the Mountain View’s , the cabin itself was so cozy and very clean loved all the amenities it had we had no issues with the cabin at all :) we sat out on the rocking chairs on the deck it had so much privacy we absolutely loved it !! We hope to come back someday and there is no other cabin we would stay at !! I would give it ten stars if I could !!

This Airbnb was perfect! The view is incredible! And the place itself was super cozy and clean. Definitely make sure you bring everything you will need (even if you don’t think you need it, you probably will). The roads are super steep but wasn’t bad in our jeep, so definitely a 4wheel drive car if you got itOverall definitely would come back in a heartbeat!

Journey's End was the perfect two-person cabin for us! Its private location, gorgeous views, and relaxing amenities offered us just what we needed to enjoy our stay. The cabin (including the hot tub) appeared to be very clean, and we didn't encounter any issues while staying there. The drive up could've been a little tricky, but the owner gave us helpful instructions to get there safely and smoothly. The location offers a peace and quiet while still being close enough to enjoy Downtown Gatlinburg and the national park. We would highly recommend this cabin and look forward to returning one day!

Amazing views! Very peaceful area with lots of privacy. Very easy access to both pigeon forge and Gatlinburg. Very clean and plenty of amenities. I don’t think I’ll be able to beat this spot for the money next trip up there

The view was amazing. The cabin was clean and peaceful. It was confusing to find the first time since gps didn’t put us at our exact spot. This is in no way a complaint, we’re in steep mountains on small roads.

Journey’s End is a charming cabin with the most spectacular views. The porch faces west, so you can sit on the porch in the evening and watch the stunning sunset over the mountains. The cabin is beautifully decorated and we found the bed to be very comfortable. The hot tub was a treat after long hikes in the mountains. We found Cabins for YOU to be a pleasure to deal with. They were very communicative and responsive. We loved our week here and will be back!

Pros: -Clean for the most part -LOTS of privacy -Absolutely best view of the mountains and such. -Has a hot tub -We saw a mama bear and her three cubs day one in the morning out by the porch! -WiFi and TV -King bed was comfortable -Lots of space to store your stuff such as bathroom stuff and kitchen stuff. -(Did not use) but has a jet tub -Cute little landing near porch we could set up our tripod for photos and also lay down a blanket and lay down on -Perfect size for the two of us for our honeymoon -Decor was super cute -No bug problems -Toilet was dirty when we got there -There was a pair of men’s nasty underwear under the mattress (I always search for bed bugs before settling I’m anywhere and found the underwear, my husband had to dispose of it using and store bag) -It’s a mountain, so how picky can I really be? But the driveway to get to it was super scary and we had to keep going around the loop or drive up into the neighbor cabin rental’s driveway to turn around to get into ours. We also kept scraping the bottom of my car and it’s not a low riding car.. you can see where there are lots of scrapes from previous renters as well. That kinda sucked. I’d recommend a truck if you’ve got one. We didn’t.

We loved our three night stay here! Easy to find, just 10-15 minutes from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, and just a few minutes off the Parkway. Beautiful views of the Smokies and night sky. It was quiet and peaceful away from noise. The cabin was cozy and quaint, and the hot tub is a perfect way to relax after a long drive up! We would love to stay here again. 5 stars!

We really enjoyed our stay at Journeys End, the views were amazing. On our last night a lightning storm rolled in and seeing the lighting in the distance around the mountains was just a beautiful sight. The cabin was nicely decorated, well maintained and clean. We usually love to try different restaurants when on vacation, we enjoyed our stay here so much we fired up the charcoal grill 2 nights out of our 3 night stay.

The LOCATION! Perfect distance between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. To anyone who might be traveling on a motorcycle the roads all the way to the top are very winding but paved and doable! Loved our stay!

we had the best weekend getaway! the view was amazing and we spent a lot of time on the porch enjoying it! the location is great and very close to both gatlinburg and pigeon forge, however we spent most of our time in the park hiking. the cabin is an easy drive from all the hikes we did (recommend doing the chimney tops, laurel falls and Andrew's bald!). it is very clean with all the essentials. would recommend bringing extra blankets though! highly recommend staying in this cabin!

Gorgeous place! We came home early for the day just to sit out on the patio. Sunset views were so good! The only negatives I had were mainly with the corporate company overseeing this property. Mainly, I believe the price should include the basic items they make you bring + being able to check in early without a fee. The company made this cozy cabin feel slightly disingenuous.

The cabin was well kept and clean. The view was beautiful from the front porch. The drive is definitely steep. I’m glad we had beautiful weather while there. The hot tub was nice and hot. The place was very quiet and felt secluded even though cabins were around us. The fire place was nice to have on chilly evenings. The owners responded quickly when emailed. A few things I would like to have seen. I wish the front porch had been completely open or the wall around the hot tub not so high so we could have enjoyed more of the view from the hot tub. Also, maybe a deck of cards or a couple board games would have been nice. A little something extra for fun while at the cabin. Overall we had a great time celebrating our 25 wedding anniversary. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

The first hiccup we had was getting in the driveway.we had to use the neighbors driveway to turn around every time to access our driveway, the turn was very narrow. Our cabin had a phenomenal view , but I do wish the shrub located directly in front of the house was trimmed. It took from our view while enjoying the hot tub.The interior was very clean and taken care of. I would like to have had a tv in the bedroom though. But overall I would absolutely book this cabin or any of the Cabins For You for my next stay .

Beautiful view of the mountains. Cozy, clean, and comfortable. This cabin is an ideal place to stay. My only complaint is that this host does not allow service animals at all. The listing only said no pets. I wish I had known this before booking, as it was non refundable.

For the one night we got to stay it was good.
My first night getting there we couldn’t get the door code to work. I called the office but it had done closed so we had to rent a room for that night. I think there needs to be better communication between the host and renter so they know exactly what needs to be done for the door code to be activated.

Journey' End was a very clean cabin. It was a little hard to find. It is actually down a road that says dead end. It was a little treacherous finding the cabin and the location - going up several steep hills. There was no TV in the bedroom. There was no local TV stations or cable for popular channels. The bed was very comfy and the living quarters was comfy. The cabin as a whole was very clean. The hot tub was a very nice feature.

The location, view and hot tub are absolutely fantastic and probably worth the price tag. However, in terms of all around value the full offering is very basic and lacking in some things I would expect for the cost e.g. kitchen is poorly equipped, no tissues, blankets, hairdryer etc.
