You may get hungry after exploring Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies or other attractions in town. That’s when you need to regain your strength! Bennett’s Pit Barbeque is one of the great restaurants in Gatlinburg to go to for lunch. Come taste the “hickory smoked perfection!” The menu has delicious dishes, such as Barbeque Beef Brisket and Jumbo Baby Back Ribs! The meat gets its mouthwatering flavor from being basted in the restaurant’s special sauce and smoked for up to 14 hours over smoldering hickory wood. Besides barbeque, other options include the Catfish Sandwich, Bacon Cheeseburger, or salad! Pair your entree with classic sides such as French Fries, Coleslaw, or Green Beans. Besides having delicious food, the restaurant has been locally owned and operated for over 30 years, striving to provide their customers with old-fashioned southern hospitality.

3. Dinner: The Peddler Steakhouse

The Peddler Steakhouse is a great place to go to for dinner! The restaurant itself has a great founding story! When Charles Ogle and his wife built the structure in 1958, it was meant to be their dream home. In 1978, the home was renovated and opened as a restaurant. Great care was taken to preserve the unique aspects of the home, one of which is the stone chimney. Visitors can now admire the piece in the dining room as they enjoy their meal! The menu has plenty of great options. Everyone will be able to find something they love. The entrees include Fillet Mignon Grilled Shrimp, Fresh Rainbow Trout, and Grilled Salmon. Each of these dishes comes with a hot side, such as Wild Rice or a Baked Potato, and the salad bar. At the end of your main course, be sure to save some room for dessert. Choose from Hot Blackberry Cobbler, New York Cheesecake, Tiramisu, and more!
