2. The Escape Game

Another great activity at The Island in Pigeon Forge is The Escape Game . You and a team of up to 8 players work together to escape a room by solving puzzles and finding clues! There are 5 unique stories to choose from, and each room is decorated to fit its respective theme. For example, in Gold Rush, you have to find a valuable gold stash in an 1800’s town. In Mission: Mars, you have to fix a broken spacecraft in order to get home to Earth. In each story, everyone must work together to achieve a common goal. This makes it a great team building activity for your travel group.

3. SkyFly: Soar America

SkyFly at The Island

At SkyFly: Soar America , you can see some of our country’s most beautiful landmarks without having to go far or paying for a plane ticket. Visitors sit with their feet dangling in front of a 50-foot spherical screen. It is meant to imitate the feeling of flying and offer a bird’s eye view of the natural scenery. Some of the places you’ll “visit” include Mount Rushmore in North Dakota and Yosemite National Park in California. You can even see Tennessee’s very own Great Smoky Mountains and the Bristol Motor Speedway. This film is combined with special effects, such as wind, mist, and scents, to make the experience even more immersive.

4. Alcatraz East Crime Museum

The Alcatraz East Crime Museum is a unique museum in Pigeon Forge. It is named after the famous military fort and maximum security prison in California. Inside, visitors can go through the interactive exhibits and learn about the history of crime in the United States. There are many different aspects to choose from. For example, you can go into the museum’s full-scale model police station to learn about the consequences of crimes. Get your fingerprint and mugshot taken, sit in a jail cell, and more! Additionally, learn about the different forensic techniques used to solve a crime in another exhibit, such as fingerprinting and facial reconstruction. You can even see them in action as you solve a murder in a lifelike crime scene. While you’re at this exhibit, you can also learn more about autopsies and read up on some of America’s cold cases.
